Samvit: Absolute Consciousness

Samvit - is pure consciousness and awareness - it is comprised of Prakasha and Vimarsha, mutually inseparable aspects.

Prakasha is the psychic light of consciousness, by virtue of which consciousness shines of it's own accord. It's self-awareness is termed Vimarsha

Consciousness can never be unaware. It would cease to be consciousness if it were unaware. This existence of awareness is proved by its psychic luminosity. Illuminous by itself, it could not be taken by awareness nor could its very existence be proved at all. Psychic luminosity is the essence of awareness and that is the essence of all consciousness.

Consciousness and awareness are to be understood, or rather suggested, by both of these terms, Prakasha and Vimarsha, which are effectively, one intuitive and the other, reality. Being Prakasha, it shines of its own accord, and being Vimarsha, it is always aware - such consciousness is the real self of every being.
